We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Ruminant Nutrition and Management Advisor to provide expert support and technical guidance to farmers, feed partners and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal science, particularly in the nutrition and health of ruminants. You will work closely with clients and on-farm influencers to optimize animal performance, health and profitability.

 

Job Description:

  • Provide on-farm advisory and management services to clients focused on ruminant nutrition, health, and productivity.
  • Conduct feed audits, ration formulation, and forage quality assessments.
  • Provide science-based research and solutions to clients.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, research, and innovations in ruminant health and nutrition.
  • Assist in product development and on farm demonstrations, ensuring alignment with customer needs and scientific standards.

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience in dairy and beef production systems.
  • Experience in a commercial or technical advisory role in the livestock feed industry.
  • Familiarity with precision livestock technologies and data interpretation.
  • University degree or diploma in Animal Science, Agriculture or related field.
  • Experience in ruminant nutrition or livestock advisory services.
  • Strong understanding of ruminant physiology, nutrition, and farm management practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to clients and to perform client building activities.
